The CI Manager will lead Continuous Improvement efforts at the GATX railcar repair facility in Moose Jaw (2200 Caribou Street West). This role will serve as a site CI champion & play a key role in applying problem-solving discipline & Lean methods to GATX operations to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost.
The following are the key activities for the role:
1)Assess business opportunities & develop strategies
2)Evaluate/assess industrial facilities to ensure that all opportunities for improvement have been explored
3)Develop flexible or integrated manufacturing systems & procedures
4)Conduct studies on the reliability & performance of plant facilities
5)Analyze costs of production, find ways to eliminate waste in production processes, assess industrial facilities, Plan plant layouts & facilities, Design & conduct time studies & work simplification programs.
6)Be the champion for Daily Visual Management in the facility in the context of GATX's SQDC management framework. Support/coach/lead DVM efforts across all work centers & all levels within the facility & ensure deep understanding & full adoption of SQDC.
Experience: ISO 14000 compliance analysis, Machine learning, Microsoft Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Office, Lean Manufacturing, Mapping & data visualization software, Lean Six Sigma, Time & work studies, Scrum & Production System.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality systems/standards, CAPA process, Audit, SPC, FMEA, Control Plan, & Process Capability.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an analytical role or facility management.
Educational Requirement: Master's degree in operations management, Industrial Engineering, or business administration.
Language: Ability to write & read in English.
