Responsibilities
- Full accounting responsibilities (full cycle) including payroll, A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, journal entries.
- Provide financial reporting on a regular basis and provide detailed variance analysis.
- Prepare for and coordinate yearly audit.
- Prepare data and analysis for development of yearly operating budget.
- Ensure internal controls, contracts and financial policies are adhered to.
- Make recommendations regarding financial policies, investments and financial management.
- Ensure compliance with all legislation, including taxation.
Offer is pending a satisfactory criminal record check.
Requirements:
- A CPA designation is preferred with full cycle accounting experience. An equivalent of education and experience will be considered
- Experience working with a not-for-profit organization is a definite asset.
- A friendly professional, comfortable working as the sole Accountant within a small team environment.
- Working proficiency of Word, Excel, Outlook and accounting software programs, i.e. Sage.
- Professional, organized, friendly, helpful.
Monday to Friday, 22.5 hours per week, flexible as mutually agreed. $35.00 per hour. Parking is provided.
