$28.60 to 34.42 hourly (MVA $550-$1,350 per month)

Job Description
- Provide project management of assigned projects throughout all phases of work
- Assist in the administration of contracts and projects by:
- preparing estimates for construction projects and supply agreements; advising on technical specifications; developing working schedules
- preparing tenders, contracts, agreements and proposals; evaluating bids and administering award of tenders; managing contracts and agreements
- conducting inspections of construction projects and enforcement of specifications and quality control
- enforcing

- conducting inspections of construction projects and enforcement of specifications and quality control
- enforcing deadlines, preparing progress statements and processing payments
- responding to verbal and written inquiries related to contracts and projects
- Assists in the delivery of municipal operations, programs and services by:
- managing and administering City stockpile inventories, and coordinating quality control
- tracking landfill tonnages and reporting to various stakeholders
- researching, inspecting, measuring, consulting with specialists and providing technical advice to City crews
- preparing various reports for the consideration of Administration and Council
- operating a GPS survey instrument and conducting preliminary surveys of municipal works
Qualified applicants will possess:
- Diploma in Engineering Technology
- Class 5 driver's license & personal vehicle for work use
- Insurable under the City's insurance policy and able to produce a current driver's abstract
- Ability to lead, organize and direct the activities of employees and contractors
- Use standard office computer software, Auto CAD, GIS systems and other specialized software
- Use manual and computerized survey equipment including Total Stations and GPS Systems
- Ability to direct compliance of OH&S Act and Regulations
- Skills/experience in project management, cost control, problem solving, decision making, supervision of staff, organization and initiative
