This position plays a key role in shaping Saskatchewans building environment by developing, adopting, and implementing construction codes and technical safety standards that ensure public safety and compliance across the province.

The Building and Technical Standards Branch - Regina Office, is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced professional to join our team as a Construction Code Consultant. This position plays a key role in shaping Saskatchewans building environment by developing, adopting, and implementing construction codes and technical safety standards that ensure public safety and compliance across the province.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Codes Administrator, you will:
- Provide expert advice to stakeholders on the application of construction codes and the legislative framework governing building construction in Saskatchewan, including guidance for owners, municipalities, building and fire officials, and industry partners.
- Develop and deliver an effective regulatory model for compliance with construction codes in collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Prepare advisories, guides, workshops, and presentations on code application.
- Review and approve building official training and licensing programs.
- Review and approve municipal building bylaws.

Ideal Candidate

You are self-motivated, highly knowledgeable in construction codes and standards, and skilled at communicating complex regulatory requirements to diverse audiences.
