The Maternal Child Health (MCH) Program aims to develop and maintain a comprehensive, integrated, coordinated approach to MCH programs and services. The vision of the program is to improve the health of mothers, infants and families and support the development of children to address the gap in life chances between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal children.  the MCH Worker is responsible for the critical program deliverables related to MCH, FASD and Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP).  

Responsibilities
    In collaboration with the Maternal-Child Health Nurse the MCH Worker is responsible for planning, coordination, and communication related to the CPNP. They will also monitor maternal health and well-being through consultations and home visits and provide advice, information, support, and referral as appropriate. Regarding the FASD Program, they will collaborate closely with the Wellness Program in delivering a service model that best meets the child's needs and the family.

Requirements
    Two years of post-secondary education in a social science or health science degree program.
    Some knowledge of therapeutic life skills strategies and will have a background in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience  
    Community resources knowledge and networking abilities.
    Knowledge of case management and wrap-around service provision strategies.
