Job Description
Jordans Principle (JP) Coordinator's primary responsibility is to act as a focal point for the children and families we serve in WLFN. The JP Coordinator provides knowledgeable support to assist children and families with case management, intake, assessment, and coordination to navigate the full range of federal and provincial health, social, and education services and supports to address childrens needs.
Jordans Principle (JP) Coordinator's primary responsibility is to act as a focal point for the children and families we serve in WLFN. The JP Coordinator provides knowledgeable support to assist children and families with case management, intake, assessment, and coordination to navigate the full range of federal and provincial health, social, and education services and supports to address childrens needs. This position will work with families of children/youth with emphasis aged 0 - 18 years who require support/special services with advocacy and inclusion that meet JP criteria.
Responsibilities
Support, coordinate and plan support services for eligible clients and their families.
Promote Jordans Principle to families, communities, and service providers
Support Jordans Principle community-based program and activities
Ensure appropriate management of JP Services
Requirements
University degree or college diploma (two-year minimum) in a field related to Human Services, Indigenous Studies, Education, Nursing or Social Work.
o Other combinations of skills, education and experience may be considered
Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
Strong advocacy skills, time management, debriefing/de-escalation skills
Must possess valid drivers license
This is a Highly Sensitive Position. Criminal Records and Vulnerable Sector Checks are required.
