Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will either possess the following qualifications or be hired with the understanding that they will work toward meeting all requirements of a Public Works Operator IV within a designated timeframe.
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
Powered Mobile Equipment (PME) Certification for: skid steer, pay loader, utility tractor and attachments, street sweeper, grader, forklift and backhoe or successful acquisition of
QUALIFICATIONS:

Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
Powered Mobile Equipment (PME) Certification for: skid steer, pay loader, utility tractor and attachments, street sweeper, grader, forklift and backhoe or successful acquisition of certification within two (2) years of the date of hire
Valid Saskatchewan Class 3 Drivers License
Airbrake endorsement certification to be obtained within one (1) year of the date of hire
Certification in First Aid/ CPR, H2S, Confined Space, Ground Disturbance, Safe Work Procedures, Fall Arrest, and WHMIS - or successful acquisition of certification within two (2) years of the date of hire
Ability to operate heavy equipment competently, safely and efficiently
Saskatchewan certification in Class 1 Water Treatment & Distribution and Class 1 Wastewater Treatment & Collection or successful completion of the necessary certification training/testing within three (3) years of the date of hire
DUTIES: Reporting to the Director of Operations the Public Works Operator IV will play a key role in supporting the Public Works Department in constructing and maintaining essential infrastructure including roads, sewer and water systems and providing public services such as waste management, snow removal and maintenance of public buildings and municipal properties
