This position is for the Urban Cellars Market Mall location.
The Sales Clerk/Cashier position is responsible for providing efficient and friendly service to customers and for maintaining excellent Store operating standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides a high level of customer service by establishing contact, greeting customers and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintains a balanced float while on shift and counts cash

Key Responsibilities
- Provides a high level of customer service by establishing contact, greeting customers and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintains a balanced float while on shift and counts cash drawer at end of shift, reporting and accounting for any discrepancies
- Initiates opportunities for additional sales
- Faces and displays merchandise
- Ensures products are scanning correctly and advises Management of any discrepancies
- Demonstrates a high level of professional and ethical standards by adhering to all Company policies and procedures
- Handles products and operates equipment according to regulations and Company policies and procedures
- Demonstrates consistent growth in product knowledge and product changes
- Participates in maintaining a prosperous and enjoyable work environment for all staff
- Assists in receiving and storing products according to Company policy
- Maintains the privacy and confidentiality of all sales and related information for Urban Cellars
We want our team members to have:
Previous cashier experience in a fast-paced environment
Previous customer service experience
Experience working in the retail or hospitality liquor industries
Good math and problem-solving skills
Must have Open availability and the flexibility to work days, nights and weekends
Requirements:
- Must be 19+ years of age
- Must have Serving it Right certification
- Must be able to bend, reach and stand for long periods of time with out issue.
-Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis without issue
