School nutrition programs play an important role in supporting student health, well-being, and learning. Saskatoon Public Schools invites applications for a Permanent Nutrition Worker position. The Nutrition Worker is responsible for preparing and providing healthy, nutritious snacks and/or meals for students in a school environment. The hours of work will align with school lunch periods and will be 5 hours
School nutrition programs play an important role in supporting student health, well-being, and learning. Saskatoon Public Schools invites applications for a Permanent Nutrition Worker position. The Nutrition Worker is responsible for preparing and providing healthy, nutritious snacks and/or meals for students in a school environment. The hours of work will align with school lunch periods and will be 5 hours per day.
Applicants must possess Grade 10 or equivalent. Certification in a provincially recognized food safety course (e.g., FoodSafe) is required, or the successful candidate must be willing to obtain certification upon hire. Experience with safe food handling practices is essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, sound organizational and time management abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting. A high degree of reliability and the ability to work efficiently within scheduled lunch service timelines are important to success in this role.
