Job Description
Position Overview:
Applications are invited for a number of seasonal positions of Parks/Engineering Worker in Parks, Recreation and Culture and Public Works Departments.
These are Labourer type positions that consist of full-time hours from May 19 to October 9, 2026.
These positions will be utilized in various work units that require seasonal, outdoor work such as:
Roadways,Sanitation,Sign Shop,Parks andGolf Course.
Required Qualifications:
Grade 12 or equivalent.

Drivers License.
Previous experience with a variety of construction, maintenance and repair operations.
Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
Ability to perform light and/or heavy manual labouring tasks.
Ability to operate small hand tools and motorized equipment efficiently.
Training in WHMIS and Surveying experience would be an asset.
WAGE $21.67 per hour
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
-Perform a variety of tasks in construction, maintenance and repair operations including:
-shovel work such as digging, shovelling gravel, asphalt and sand
-grasscutting duties, string trimming, ball diamond and golf course maintenance
-garbage and yard waste pick up
-side walk and line painting.
-loading and unloading material
-Perform both light and heavy manual labouring tasks.
