Conduct outreach to identify veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness through street outreach, shelters, community agencies, and veterans organizations (including the Legion).
Build trust using trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches; assist with ID, income benefits, pensions, and disability supports.
Provide information on housing programs, financial supports, and available services.

Veteran Outreach & Engagement
Conduct outreach to identify veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness through street outreach, shelters, community agencies, and veterans organizations (including the Legion).
Build trust using trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches; assist with ID, income benefits, pensions, and disability supports.
Provide information on housing programs, financial supports, and available services.
Complete intake assessments to determine housing, income, health, and support needs.
Use coordinated access, HIFIS, and SPDAT tools.
Coordinate referrals to housing providers, income assistance, Veterans Affairs, health care, and community supports.
Administer rental supplements and eligible financial supports.
Maintain collaborative partnerships and participate in case conferencing and planning.
Keep accurate, confidential records in compliance with privacy legislation.
Work Experience Preferred
Experience with vulnerable populations, preferably veterans or Indigenous peoples experiencing homelessness.
Background in case management, housing support, or coordinated access systems.
Knowledge of trauma-informed, harm reduction, and client-centered practices.
Veteran status or familiarity with military culture and veteran services is an asset.

Working Requirements
Community-based outreach role with flexible hours, including some evenings/weekends.
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.
Current CPIC (within six months) required.
