Greenland Waste Disposal, the largest waste services company in the Prince Albert and Melfort region, is currently seeking applications for a Heavy Duty Journeyman Mechanic. This roles would be based out of Prince Albert and Melfort. Some overtime will be required, including the possibility of some weekends and statutory holidays.

-Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance of the Fleet

Job Duties;
-Pre Employment Drug Test
-Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance of the Fleet
-Knowledge of the operating and repair characteristics of large fleet vehicles
-Must be willing to comply with all safety aspects and standard procedures.
-Ability to read and understand complex electrical & mechanical drawings, shop manuals and troubleshooting diagrams.
-Able to communicate clearly so the parts necessary for a job are ordered correctly and promptly.
-Able to work independently and to ensure quality completion of a project in a timely manner.
-Ability to provide close attention when working with small parts of complex equipment and to use good eyesight and hearing for diagnosing problems and inspecting work.
-Knowledge of the principals and operation of diesel and gasoline internal combustion engines
-Additional courses in welding, ABS brakes, hydraulics, computer components and electrical systems is an asset.
-Should have Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years heavy duty mechanic experience.
