PBCNEAI is currently accepting resumes for the position of Finance Accountant to join our team in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliation, and ensuring compliance with Financial Policies and regulations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial health of our organization and supporting our education initiatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliation, and ensuring compliance with Financial Policies and regulations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial health of our organization and supporting our education initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare and maintain financial statements for quarterly reporting
-Manage accounts payable and receivable functions or provide cross-over support.
-Perform reconciliation of bank statements and general ledger accounts.
-Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
-Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations and funding agreements.
-Support audits and financial reviews by preparing the necessary documentation.
-Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
-Work closely with internal terms and external stakeholders, including funding agencies and auditors.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
-3 to 5 years' Experience in accounting or finance, preferably in education or non-profit.
-Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage, Quick books, or similar).
-Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements for educational institutions and indigenous organizations.
-Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
-Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
-Must have a Class 5 driving license and ability to travel.
