In this role you will:
Provide independent assessment of Crown corporation Performance Management and Capital Allocation Plans considering alignment with government priorities, industry benchmarks, performance management objectives, and policy requirements.
Monitor and evaluate Crown performance on an ongoing basis and develop quarterly reports to provide the CIC Board with timely, concise, and accurate assessments throughout the year.
Develop a variety of written materials including decision and information items, speaking notes, briefing notes, Presidents Reports, letters, and Crown sector requests for information.
Conduct complex strategic and financial analysis (leverage and profitability ratios, etc.) for the CIC Board and Cabinet on a wide range of Crown business initiatives and special projects.
Perform on-going research into performance management and strategic planning methodologies/processes, reporting practices, and portfolio Crown industry norms, trends, issues, and developments.
To be successful in this position you will maintain effective working relationships with all CIC units/divisions and stakeholders, including key individuals within the Crown corporations and Executive Government, to ensure effective communication and best possible outcomes on all projects.
Qualifications and skill requirements include:
Completion of an undergraduate degree in Commerce/Business Administration or a related discipline with experience working in a strategic and financial role.
