Job Description
Responsible for the administration and delivery of housing/ accommodation programs and services to maximize unit occupancy in compliance with policies and legislation.

Duties include:
-Manages vacancies in a timely and efficient manner.
-Provides information to tenants and applicants about housing options and related information.
-Handles administrative details associated with the tenant management process including maintaining tenant files, reviewing and processing applications, determining suitability and priority, completing documentation and performing related functions.
-Directs activities associated with residential lease management including lease agreements, contracts, payments and collections; ensures tenants understand their responsibilities therein.
-Provides tenants with budgeting assistance and payment schedules as required. Ensures payments are made on a timely basis and handles delinquent payments; evicts tenants if required.
-Advises Social Services of any changes or issues relating to tenant placement or rental rates.
-Conducts home/yard inspections; ensures housing inspections regarding tenant safety are scheduled and completed on a timely basis; works with maintenance staff and contractors to ensure required maintenance and repairs are completed.
-Handles tenant complaints/issues in a timely and appropriate manner. Responds to crisis and/or emergency situations; notifies tenants of issues impacting their tenancy; may act as an advocate on behalf of tenants if required.
-Ensures safety protocols and procedures are followed and adheres to health and safety related regulations.
-Keeps current on related legislation and by-laws (e.g. Sask Housing, City of Regina, etc); ensures adherence to all related procedures.
-Liaises with government departments including Social Services and Sask Justice and other organizations and/or associations.
-Ensures all documentation, work orders, forms and reports are completed.
