We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Access Control & Automatic Door Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of electronic access control systems, automatic door operators, and related low-voltage security equipment in commercial, institutional, and residential settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, program, and service electronic access control systems (card readers, keypads, biometric devices, electric strikes, maglocks, door controllers).
Install and troubleshoot automatic door operators, sliding/automatic swing doors, handicap door openers, and safety sensors.
Run and terminate low-voltage wiring according to code and manufacturer specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
Configure access control software and integrate systems with CCTV, intercom, and alarm systems.
Perform system testing, commissioning, and customer training after installation.
Diagnose and repair system faults, electrical issues, and mechanical door hardware problems.
Ensure all installations comply with local building codes and safety regulations.
Complete service reports, work orders, and documentation accurately and on time.
Provide professional customer service while on job sites.
Coordinate with general contractors, project managers, and other trades as required.
Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working condition.
Qualifications:
Experience with access control systems and automatic door operators.
Knowledge of low-voltage wiring and basic electrical principles.
Familiarity with door hardware installation (closers, panic bars, strikes, hinges).
Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid drivers license.
Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders.
