Job Description
The Saskatchewan Animal Enforcement Agency (SAEA) is seeking one qualified candidate for the position of Communications Officer and Animal Protection Officer to support enforcement operations across the Province of Saskatchewan.

The Saskatchewan Animal Enforcement Agency (SAEA) is seeking one qualified candidate for the position of Communications Officer and Animal Protection Officer to support enforcement operations across the Province of Saskatchewan.
SAEA delivers enforcement services under The Animal Protection Act on behalf of the Province of Saskatchewan. Animal Protection Officers are designated Peace Officers responsible for investigating concerns of animal distress and ensuring compliance with legislation.
The Communications Officer serves as the central coordination point for SAEA, receiving public complaints, triaging concerns, assigning investigations, and monitoring case progress across the province. The role may also assist with investigations when required.
SAEA follows a community welfare approach that prioritizes education, voluntary compliance, and responsible animal care, with enforcement used when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receive and assess public complaints.
2. Triage cases and assign investigations.
3. Monitor case progress and maintain records.
4. Support field officers and operational communications.
5. Conduct investigations when required.
6. Liaise with veterinarians, municipalities, law enforcement, and community partners.
Qualifications:
1. Strong communication and organizational skills.
2. Ability to manage files and maintain accurate documentation.
3. Professional judgment and ability to work with the public.
4. Computer proficiency including Word and Excel.
5. Experience in public safety, enforcement, investigations, communications, or community services is an asset.
6. Willingness to participate in training.
7. Valid Saskatchewan drivers license.
Compensation:
1. Semi monthly salary with benefits.
2. Approved operational expenses reimbursed.
