The Maintenance contractor will work under the direct supervision of the Village Administrator and council and must have a class 5 driver's license and be able to operate and maintain different kinds of equipment.

He or she will be responsible for grass cutting in the summer, tree trimming, minor road patching, minor repairs on buildings and equipment, pest control, possible

The Maintenance contractor will work under the direct supervision of the Village Administrator and council and must have a class 5 driver's license and be able to operate and maintain different kinds of equipment.

He or she will be responsible for grass cutting in the summer, tree trimming, minor road patching, minor repairs on buildings and equipment, pest control, possible some painting, general handyman jobs, garbage collection, culvert replacement and any other jobs as required by council. There may be times a urgent task arises and we will need He or She to come in.

He or she will be responsible for any work that the council requires, except water works and sewage, unless the water works and sewage contractor needs assistance.

He or she must be a self motivated, hardworking and a honest individual who is able to work with the administrator, council and ratepayers in an effective manner and will have good communication skills, time management skills and a high level of initiative and mechanical aptitude as well as pride in the work they do within the community. Also some experience with equipment operation and maintenance skills would be preferred.
