The primary responsibility is to plan, lead, instruct, and evaluate diverse and inclusive sport, culture and recreation activities for children. Specifically, 5- 12 years of age.
Duties:
- Supervise Summer Play activities at the White City Community Centre, ensuring the safety, care, and well-being of both employees and participants.
- Plan, lead, instruct, and evaluate a variety of diverse and inclusive sports, cultural, and recreational activities for children, specifically ages 5 to 12.
- Communicate effectively with parents/caregivers as needed regarding participant progress or concerns.
- Maintain an accurate logbook, including incident reports, participant medical information, and any code of conduct warnings.
- Apply appropriate behavior management techniques while supervising participants.
- Collaborate with program partners and volunteers to ensure the smooth delivery of activities.
- Ensure compliance with all Town of White City policies and procedures.
- Cooperate with the other Program Coordinator to plan, lead, instruct, and evaluate the program effectively.
- Prepare and submit program evaluation reports to the Program and Event Coordinator
- Assist the Program and Event Coordinator in planning, organizing, and executing other town programming and events, contributing ideas, support, and collaboration to ensure the success of community initiatives and activities.
