The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) is seeking a results-oriented, dynamic and motivated individual for the position of Fire Base Support in Weyakwin.

This position will be responsible for fire equipment, communication equipment, fuel and facilities within the forest protection area to include: acquisition/write-off of equipment, purchase of supplies, minor maintenance, track/reconcile inventories, test equipment, and ensure movement of equipment is documented and tracked.

The position will be responsible to participate and support large, sustained action fires and will be responsible to train new support staff as required.

Working conditions can include working undefined hours and working in remote locations in inclement conditions. You may be required to work extended hours and up to 12 days in a row. Candidate must be willing to work away from headquarters for extended periods and be temporarily assigned to other locations in the province.

  To qualify:
Possess and maintain a valid class 5 or greater drivers licence;
Preference will be given to candidates 18 years of age or older;
Gained by the completion of Grade 12 would be an asset; and
Inventory, warehousing, or logistics experience would be an asset.
