Regina City Jamia Masjid is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and community-oriented Imam to lead our growing Muslim community. Key Responsibilities
Lead the five daily prayers, Jumuah khutbah, Taraweeh, Eid prayers, and other religious services.
Provide Islamic guidance, counseling, and support to community members.
Teach Quran, Tajwd, Islamic Studies, and conduct halaqahs for children, youth, and adults.
Perform religious duties including Nikah, Janazah, and community visitations.
Participate in community events, outreach, and interfaith activities.
Support the masjid administration in community development initiatives.
Qualifications
Formal Islamic education from a recognized institution (Alim, Hafiz, or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of Quran, Sunnah, Fiqh, and Islamic jurisprudence.
Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic for Quranic recitation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with diverse cultures and all age groups.
Demonstrated leadership, character, and commitment to Islamic values.
Assets (Optional but Preferred)
Experience serving as an Imam or assistant Imam in a North American context.
Ability to engage youth and lead community programs.
Public speaking, teaching, or community outreach experience.
