The Aboriginal Friendship Centres of Saskatchewan (AFCS) is seeking a Program Manager to lead a provincial youth leadership initiative. This role supports Indigenous youth across Saskatchewan through culturally grounded training, leadership development and meaningful community engagement.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Aboriginal Friendship Centres of Saskatchewan (AFCS) is seeking a Program Manager to lead a provincial youth leadership initiative. This role supports Indigenous youth across Saskatchewan through culturally grounded training, leadership development and meaningful community engagement.
Rooted in the belief that urban Indigenous youth are leaders today, this position creates opportunities for youth to build skills, confidence and connection to their Friendship Centre. Through youth-led training and shared learning spaces, the Program Manager will foster strong, informed and connected young leaders while coordinating a provincial youth network.
Key Responsibilities
Design & deliver youth-led training in leadership, governance, civic engagement & community building
Support the development & implementation of a Provincial Youth Leadership Program
Facilitate workshops, gatherings & peer learning opportunities
Collaborate with Friendship Centres to identify & support youth participants
Foster mentorship with Elders, Knowledge Keepers & community leaders
Build relationships to strengthen youth engagement across Centres
Coordinate program delivery aligned with program objectives & community needs
Monitor outcomes & support reporting and evaluation
Qualifications & Experience
Experience working with Indigenous youth & leadership development
Understanding of urban Indigenous realities & the Friendship Centre Movement
Experience in program coordination, facilitation & community engagement
Strong communication, organization & relationship-building skills
Knowledge of governance & youth engagement
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years related work
Experience in budgeting, program management & event coordination
