They are seeking a motivated Equipment Operator who brings strong situational awareness, sound judgment, and the ability to work safely in all weather conditions. The ideal candidate is adaptable, collaborative, selfmotivated, and able to handle physically and mentally demanding tasks. A valid Class 1A license is required, and candidates must provide a current driver abstract if interviewed. Basic computer skills are needed for email and time/expense submissions.
Key knowledge and skills include operating and maintaining heavy equipment such as tandem trucks with attachments, graders, and loaders; using advanced hydraulic control systems for plowing and sanding; maintaining accurate daily records; and contributing positively to a team environment. The role requires flexibility in work hours and the ability to manage stressful or rapidly changing conditions.
Responsibilities include ensuring public safety through surveillance and maintenance activities, performing summer and winter road work, completing inspections, and supporting a safe and healthy workplace.
