Job Description
RCESI is looking for a qualified Journeyman Pressure Welder to join our team. Welders are expected to have thorough knowledge of the oil & gas industry with facility experience.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Able to interpret multiple discipline drawings, have full understanding of welding codes, follow and understand RCESI WPS

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Able to interpret multiple discipline drawings, have full understanding of welding codes, follow and understand RCESI WPS
- Able to identify all techniques of welding and know the properties of various types of metal
- Proficient in the use of air/oxy/fuel cutting equipment, electric welding machines, and hand power tools
- Ability to fit up structural and piping components as per drawings
- Able to weld at heights safely from a scaffold or aerial work platform
- Understand provincial and federal standards as applicable to construction activities and ensure applicable code books are understood
The successful candidate will be:
- In possession of a Journeyman Welder ticket with pressure welding certification (Saskatchewan or interprovincial equivalent)
- In possession of or able to obtain a valid First Aid & H2S Certificate prior to hire
- Have 2+ years of experience with pipe fabrication and passing x-rays in a production shop
- Have valid F3/F4 qualifications
- Capable of performing the physical requirements of the job, including lifting greater than 20lbs and demonstrating worksite mobility
- Willing to work extended hours/weekends as required
- Must pass weld tests and produce welds that meet requirements
All applicants must be willing to travel throughout southern Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba and hold a valid and clean drivers license.
This position is safety-sensitive; therefore, a pre-employment D & A test is required prior to hire as well.
