Flying Dust First Nation Housing is seeking to fill two (2) one-year term positions for Housing Labourers. Successful candidates will carry out a range of skilled and semi-skilled tasks related to the maintenance, repair, renovation, and upkeep of buildings, offices, homes, and other FDFN facilities.

Flying Dust First Nation Housing is seeking to fill two (2) one-year term positions for Housing Labourers. Successful candidates will carry out a range of skilled and semi-skilled tasks related to the maintenance, repair, renovation, and upkeep of buildings, offices, homes, and other FDFN facilities.
This role involves work across multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, roofing, painting, and concrete/masonry. Duties will generally consist of routine and less complex tasks typically assigned below the journeyperson level. Work assignments are structured, with clear expectations regarding materials, tools, and methods.
In situations requiring higher skill levels, Labourers will assist experienced tradespeople. When working independently, tasks will be reviewed during progress or upon completion to ensure quality standards are met.

Qualifications and Requirements:
    Must meet CMHC Indigenous Skills Training criteria (ages 1830)
    Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions
    Physically capable of safely operating vehicles and equipment
    Valid drivers license with a current drivers abstract required
    Must provide a current Criminal Record Check
    Entry-level experience assisting skilled tradespeople or performing manual labour involving basic trade skills is preferred
    Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
