Applicants must hold a valid drivers license (Class 1A would be an asset), be able to operate equipment as required (grader, trackhoe, tractor, mower) and be knowledgeable with servicing equipment.

A successful candidate must be dependable, physically fit and mechanically inclined to perform routine maintenance and repairs and be capable of working independently without direct supervision and as part of a team.

This position will work alongside an experienced crew that is responsible for a variety of road construction and maintenance tasks. Duties will include but are not limited to the operation of a grader as well as other equipment, road maintenance, culvert maintenance, sign installation and general shop and yard maintenance. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary as the position will interact with other employees, elected officials and the general public.

The RM offers flexible hours, however, you may work under extreme and changing climate conditions and may be required to work weekends and holidays dues to inclement weather. The RM also offers a competitive salary based on experience as well as a benefits package and mandatory pension plan.
