We are a small, growing construction company seeking a dependable and hardworking carpenter's assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with the construction of residential decks and fences, working closely with a lead carpenter on projects ranging from single-day installs to multi-week builds.

The successful candidate will assist with the construction of residential decks and fences, working closely with a lead carpenter on projects ranging from single-day installs to multi-week builds.

Duties:

- Assist lead carpenter with deck and fence construction
- Load/unload tools and materials; prepare job sites
- Operate hand and power tools safely (saws, nail guns, etc.)
- Follow directions and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required PPE

Qualifications:

- High school diploma
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform manual labour
- Comfortable working at heights (ladders, elevated platforms)
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to job sites in and around Saskatoon
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience:

1 year of carpentry or construction experience is an asset

Additional Information:

- No evening or weekend work required
