The Town of Nipawin is now hiring a Semi-Skilled Fulltime Public Works Labourer for our Landfill Division and under the direct supervision of the Landfill Supervisor.

As the Public Works Landfill Labourer you will:
Operation of heavy equipment such as the compactor and loaders, general site maintenance such as repairing and maintaining equipment, performing routine inspections, recognize and report any equipment malfunctions

The Town of Nipawin is now hiring a Semi-Skilled Fulltime Public Works Labourer for our Landfill Division and under the direct supervision of the Landfill Supervisor.

As the Public Works Landfill Labourer you will:
Operation of heavy equipment such as the compactor and loaders, general site maintenance such as repairing and maintaining equipment, performing routine inspections, recognize and report any equipment malfunctions and safety hazards, collaborate with co-workers to coordinate daily activities, keep accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities and any incidents or accidents that may occur, collection of gate fees, customer service and all other duties as assigned by the Landfill Supervisor.  Experience with a variety of equipment and tools used in a municipal landfill department is considered an asset.  

The successful applicant must have a current Class 5 Driver's License and provide a Police Records Check and Driver's Abstract prior to commencement of employment.  Wearing "CSA Approved" footwear at all times is a condition of employment and will be the responsibility of the employee to purchase.

Wages and benefits will be paid according to the CUPE Local 777-01 Agreement.
