Responsible for the overall administration of the First Nation Justice Program which includes:
o Draft and submit in a timely manner the monthly, mid-year and year-end reports to Leadership, the COO and Senior Management.

o Monitor the progress of the five-year Justice Plan to ensure substantial requirements are being met and to assist with any potential difficulties.
Arrange victim-offender reconciliations such as, but not limited to:
o Notifying all parties involved offender, victim, respective families, and the HR Team.
o Facilitate and/or mediate victim-offender disputes utilizing conflict resolutions like mediation, family group conferencing, community justice forums, etc.
o Monitor offender healing contracts.
o Provide all parties with the disposition and outcome of each case, including the RCMP, Crown, and/or Judge.
o Maintaining data and statistics on individual case files and case loads.
o Coordinating reintegration circles and preparing reintegration plans for early release inmates from the provincial Correctional Centers and federal inmates eligible for parole.
Required Education, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Human Justice, Human Services. Related Justice Program training and experience may be considered.
Awareness of current First Nation Governance Systems, Programs and Service Sectors with strong knowledge of Protocols, Structures, and Procedures.
Awareness of current First Nation Justice issues and concepts.
Knowledge of relevant legislation such as The Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA), The Criminal Code of Canada, The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and so forth.
Demonstrated knowledge in office procedures; ability to maintain accurate records/files and documentation; excellent organizational and planning skills.
