Job Description
Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre requires two temporary full-time Itinerant Teachers (K-12). The campus location will be based on the successful candidates principal residence.
Primary Responsibilities
Academics
Curriculum and Planning:
* Sask DLC uses a centralized model for course development, and content can be adapted for students aligned with the adaptive dimension.
* Provide high-quality synchronous and asynchronous program delivery to students in Kindergarten through Grade

Curriculum and Planning:
* Sask DLC uses a centralized model for course development, and content can be adapted for students aligned with the adaptive dimension.
* Provide high-quality synchronous and asynchronous program delivery to students in Kindergarten through Grade 12 using the centralized course content aligned with the Saskatchewan curriculum, engaging lessons and activities, formative and summative assessment, and meaningful resources.
* Integrate First Nation and Metis content, world views, ways of knowing and culture within the curriculum outcomes and program delivery.
* Ensure students understand the learning outcomes and they are easily identifiable in lessons and/or assignments.
Instruction and Assessment
* Teach engaging and effective online lessons, activities, and assignments tailored to individual student needs and using the adaptive dimension where applicable.
* Implement instructional strategies that promote student engagement, learning, and critical thinking.
* Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance.
Leadership
* Utilize Moodle, Microsoft Teams, and other approved Sask DLC software to manage course content, deliver lessons, and communicate with students and colleagues.
* Troubleshoot basic technical issues and provide support to students and parents as needed.
* Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends, technology, and best practices.
* Collaborate with STF peers to improve instructional methods and contribute to professional learning networks.
