Lead and Organize a High-Volume Operational Team: Effectively manage an operationally focused team (Senior Accountants, Accountants, and Accounting Clerks) by setting clear priorities, assigning work to match capability, and maintaining service levels in a fast-paced, transaction-heavy environment.
Demonstrate Strong People Leadership and Staff Management: Build performance through coaching, feedback, and day-to-day leadership, ensuring staff are supported, accountable, and aligned to accuracy, timeliness, and internal control expectations across revenue collection, reconciliation, and payment processing.
Leverage Diversity in Team Composition to Deliver Results: Successfully lead a diverse group of roles and experience levels, promoting collaboration across functions, balancing operational demands with development needs, and creating consistency across work quality and customer/stakeholder responsiveness.
Apply Strong Technical Knowledge to Revenue Accounting, Controls and Accuracy: Use deep technical understanding of revenue operations and transactional accounting (premiums, fees, commissions, taxes, receivables, refunds, and banking/merchant interfaces) to resolve complex issues, strengthen controls, and ensure revenue and related expenses are recorded, and reported correctly.
Typically, these skills are gained through a four year degree from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant filed of study such as Business, Chartered Professional Accounting designation (CPA) and Eight years experience comprised of four years leadership and four years experience in accounting or finance management.
