Casual Heavy Equipment Position
Education: Technical/Applied Science Certificate
Job Description
This position will work under the supervision of the Public
Works Manager. Knowledge of operating heavy equipment
such as Grader, Backhoe, Mower, Bobcat; Tractor; but not limited too. This position is based on a call-in basis.
Description
? Practice preventive maintenance by maintaining & repair machinery daily;
? Report any major repairs to the Project Manager;
? Have knowledge of hydraulic & mechanical repairs;
? Maintain gravel

Description
? Practice preventive maintenance by maintaining & repair machinery daily;
? Report any major repairs to the Project Manager;
? Have knowledge of hydraulic & mechanical repairs;
? Maintain gravel roads for all seasons; excavate for sewer & water purposes; replace & install culverts, cisterns, septic tanks & infiltrator systems; excavate basements; cut grass; but not limited too;
? Attend safety courses;
? Maintain a clean and orderly work area;
? Other related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
? Equipment Operators; or Experienced Operation of Heavy Equipment;
? Valid Driver?s License;
? Valid Class 1A driver?s license would be an asset;
? Present a Clean Drivers abstract;
? Ability to work independently & within a team;
? Always putting safety first;
? Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position;
? Ability to cooperate & deal tactfully with others;
? Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally & in writing;
? Positive & Friendly nature with a cooperative ?Team Player? attitude;
? Must be able to work weekends & on Statutory/First Nations Holidays, if required.
