In this role, you will:
-Perform civil design and/or oversee the design of large construction projects, including roads, airports, bridges, dams, storm and sanitary sewer systems, pipelines, etc.
-Be responsible for scope development, planning, and cost estimating to support business cases over the asset life cycle.
-Work with civil designers for CAD work in support of development of civil 3D models and 2D
In this role, you will:
-Perform civil design and/or oversee the design of large construction projects, including roads, airports, bridges, dams, storm and sanitary sewer systems, pipelines, etc.
-Be responsible for scope development, planning, and cost estimating to support business cases over the asset life cycle.
-Work with civil designers for CAD work in support of development of civil 3D models and 2D drawings including all construction details.
-Develop and revise technical specifications, work on scope of supply, BOMs, MTOs, CWPs and construction work packages.
-Be responsible for ensuring that the design work is done in accordance with Camecos processes, procedures, standards, design criteria, and regulatory requirements.
-Inspecting completed civil projects for compliance with industry codes, specifications, and safety standards.
-Preparing work schedules.
Required:
-bachelors degree in civil engineering;
-five to 10 years of relevant work experience;
-Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation;
-eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) as well as Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO);
-strong communication, collaboration, planning and organizational skills;
-ability to work independently;
-self-motivated, reliable, strong work ethic, natural enthusiasm and;
-intermittent travel to Camecos northern sites by aircraft and to Ontario locations.
Recommended:
-knowledge of 3D viewer software such as Navisworks, Jetstream and/or Point Cloud.
-previous experience in projects related to the mining industry;
-in depth knowledge of applicable codes, regulations and standards; and
-knowledge of 3D viewer software such as Navisworks, Jetstream and/or Point Cloud.
