The Sr. Manager - Operations, Facilities, Capital Development is responsible for managing SARCAN's capital budgets as well as the financial planning, budgeting & monitoring of infrastructure-related projects and ensuring the ongoing protection of assets to ensure the appropriate and necessary facilities and equipment are available and maintained at an acceptable level.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Managing SARCAN's capital project & infrastructure budget
- Managing the strategic capital/infrastructure, life cycle management of assets and equipment & SARCANs overall operations needs
- Contract management, including overseeing SARCAN's portfolio of leases
- Overseeing the asset life cycle & inventory management
- Managing facilities planning & functional programming
- Managing capital and infrastructure standards and criteria
- Managing human resources & progress reporting
You will need:
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering
- May consider Professional Technologists (PTech) with relevant experience
- 7+ years experience in building/construction
- PMP designation is an asset
- Experience working with private, public & non-profit sectors
- Able to manage multiple projects
- Project management & business development experience
- Excellent communication & time management skills
- Quantitative & qualitative analysis and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365
- Able to work with drafting and design software & asset and inventory management systems
- Able to work in a team environment
- Able to work within tight deadlines
- Exhibits strong degree of professionalism
- Exhibits high ethical conduct
- Valid class 5 license; able to travel within SK
- Satisfactory criminal record check is a condition of employment
