The City of Swift Current is accepting applications for the position of Labourer in the Light and Power Department. This is a full-time one year term position.

Under the direction of the Line Supervisor, the successful candidate will support the construction, repair, and maintenance of the electric utility system. This role also assists with equipment, building, and grounds maintenance within the department, as well as meter reading and inventory management.
Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
-          Grade 12 education, including at least one Level 30 math course and one Level 30 science course.
-          Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan drivers licence and have, or be able to obtain, a Class 3A licence.
-          Previous related experience and the demonstrated ability to perform duties efficiently and skillfully.
-          Must be physically fit and able to perform outdoor physical labour year-round, including in varying weather conditions and temperature extremes.
-          Ability to work effectively with others.
-          Willingness to provide a criminal record check and a clean drivers abstract.
