The Ministry of Health, Acute and Emergency Services Branch is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented individual to permanently join our team in the position of Senior Program Consultant in its Surgical Services and Patient Safety unit. We offer a challenging, innovative and supportive work environment, with opportunities to work with the health community, provide leadership and support province-wide planning, delivery and evaluation of hospital, emergency medical and cancer services.
Working with patient and public representatives, senior Ministry staff, health providers and the health authority, you will help identify issues in surgical services in Saskatchewan and work collectively to provide recommendations to create sustainable system change. In this position, you will apply your superior community development, project management and analytical skills to achieve understanding of complex issues and your creativity and cooperative problem solving skills in the development of realistic options for the resolution of these issues. This may include developing and facilitating the implementation of innovative programs and program management tools. You will formulate and recommend new policies and standards in the context of a quality, integrated and patient-focused health system.
The successful candidate will typically have a graduate degree in health care or public administration, the social sciences or a related discipline, project management certification and an extensive background in community development. A combination of education and experience will also be considered.
