Job Description
What youll be accomplishing:
-Support Process Hazard Assessments by field verifying, gathering and redlining drawings, data sheets and other technical documents.
-Perform mechanical/piping engineering design activities to support assigned projects from concept to detailed design phases
-Prepare equipment specifications, data sheets and tender documents for procurement of equipment
-Ensure mechanical/piping systems meet internal technical specifications, and adherence to industry and regulatory requirements
-Support fabrication

-Ensure mechanical/piping systems meet internal technical specifications, and adherence to industry and regulatory requirements
-Support fabrication and construction activities
-Participate in shop and site visits as necessary
-Provide mechanical technical support to other departments
Education and experience required:
-Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
-Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with APEGS
-A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical system design, construction, commissioning and/or analysis
-Mechanical Technologists with 10+ years experience in similar areas are encouraged to apply
Qualities and skills were seeking:
-Mechanically-inclined individual with good knowledge of mechanical process equipment selection including pumps, vessels, tanks, heat exchangers etc.
-Understands the use and progression of technical drawings related to the mechanical/piping disciplines
-Excellent communication skills
-Self-driven and able to work independently
-Cooperative and collaborative, able to work as part of a team and foster and maintain good working relationships with other relationships within the company
-Sound knowledge of the ASME B31 and BPVC codes would be considered an asset
Work Location & Schedule:
-Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
-Travel to Orano northern mine sites is required, including multiple one-week missions at the McClean Lake Operation in Northern Saskatchewan
