The Authority serves a total student population of approximately 1,300+ students. The Authority is working toward improved educational outcomes by utilizing the latest technology, progressively piloting programs, and integrating Denesuline culture into the classroom and school curriculum.
The ADEA is seeking a competent, confident, motivated individual to fill the position of Kindergarten Teacher on a term contract (with the potential of going on a full-time permanent contract) at Father Megret Elementary School, located in Hatchet Lake, Saskatchewan. In this role, you will provide strong interpersonal skills, commitment to learning and teaching in project-based ways and provide an enthusiastic learning environment for children.
To qualify for this position, you will need to have Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or a recognized post-secondary Diploma as a Kindergarten Teacher. Experience in teaching First Nations students at a remote community and have First Aid Certification would be an asset (we pay provide training upon hire). The successful candidate will be required to relocate to the community.
